Welcome to the world of Beaumier.
Summer is on its way, and with it comes the need for sea and sun. Images of turquoise waters, pine-lined roads, and sun-kissed cuisine immediately spring to mind. The French Riviera is calling.
But the question is: where do you spend your holiday on the Côte d’Azur to truly capture its essence? Saint-Raphaël in the Estérel has the answer. Beaumier’s Les Roches Rouges faces the sea, blending into the landscape with a seawater pool, terrace, and jetty that slips into the Mediterranean. Its modernist architecture opens onto the horizon, inviting life outdoors.
An ideal base for exploring the French Riviera.
A place where sea, countryside and hilltop villages meet. Within easy reach: sandy beaches and red rock coves, hilltop villages, vineyards and olive groves stretching into the hinterland.
The climate is ideal for a trip along the French Riviera, with sunshine most days from May to October – perfect conditions for exploring the Côte d'Azur coastline and landscapes.
To experience the Mediterranean art de vivre: here, meals are unhurried, walks are leisurely and terraces invite you to lose track of time. Just breathe, relax and let yourself be carried away by the gentle southern way of life.
For proximity and ease: you can effortlessly go from a morning swim to lunch in a village, then a stroll through the pine woods, before heading back to the sea at the end of the day.
For a tailor-made holiday: you can create your own itinerary – active or relaxing, festive or contemplative, by the sea or inland – to explore the French Riviera at your own pace.
For the light and atmosphere: it’s a feast for the senses that will transform your summer holidays on the French Riviera into memories you’ll never forget.

An itinerary by Beaumier: 6 days on the French Riviera
The programme includes:
A journey of sea, light and art de vivre – exploring the Côte d’Azur coastline and hinterland.
On the drive from Saint-Raphaël, the Mediterranean comes into view in tantalising glimpses. Then Les Roches Rouges appears, elegant and understated. Barely past the threshold, the Mediterranean Sea fills the frame, and the entire hotel unfolds before your eyes – the swimming pool, seawater pool and beach, the Île d’Or so close you could touch it, the jetty and the terraces overlooking the water. Before dinner, the Estérel beckons – a short walk along its trails is impossible to resist. Each vantage point from the red cliffs reveals an ever-changing panorama of sea and colour. As evening falls, dinner at Estelo draws you further in. The cuisine is a celebration of local produce: fish from the market, sun-ripened vegetables, aromatic oils and local wines. Sea, sky and flavour all fold into one, and the evening draws to a close in the gentle glow of the first stars.
Dine with sea views
Breakfast is served on the terrace. Warm bread, homemade jams, strong coffee: the day gets off to a leisurely start. The rest of the morning is yours to spend in Saint-Raphaël. In the Old Town’s bustling markets, the stalls abound with heirloom tomatoes, goat’s cheese, fresh herbs, Provençal fabrics and seasonal lavender. This is the south of France – everything you hoped it would be.
At midday, head to Tortù Plage, Saint-Raphaël’s private beach. With sun loungers, parasols, grilled fish and chilled rosé, lunch and early afternoon drift by in an entirely deliberate haze. To round off the day, the concierge team at Les Roches Rouges can organise a tour of nearby villas to see private collections of artworks by internationally renowned artists. A different side of Saint-Raphaël to discover.
In the evening, take in the spectacular view from the seafront terrace of La Villa Mauresque’s restaurant Le Bougainvillier, with the bay of Saint-Tropez stretching out in the distance. Enjoy refined cuisine and an excellent selection of Provençal wines, while the sinking sun sets the sea ablaze. Then drive back to Les Roches Rouges, car windows rolled down. The balmy night air rushes in, carrying the scent of pine and sea salt.
Enjoy our experiences
Today, it’s onwards to Cannes and its hidden treasures, away from the spotlight of the red carpet – a must to see the French Riviera in a different light.
First stop: Le Suquet, the town’s old quarter. The cobbled streets wind their way up the hill, past houses with weathered façades and charming squares where local life unfolds at a leisurely pace. Take the time to gaze out over the bay glittering in the sunlight and watch the boats glide slowly through the harbour.
The crossing to Sainte-Marguerite Island sets a different pace. Board the boat, feel the sea breeze and watch the coast slowly recede. On the island, far from the crowds, nature reclaims its place. The pine trees, secluded coves and clear waters offer a rare sense of freedom. A picnic, freshly prepared by the hotel, makes the moment last.
In the late afternoon, return to Les Roches Rouges where the day ends at the Estelo restaurant. Settle on the terrace overlooking the sea, face turned to the setting sun, the last rays warm on your skin, and let the murmur of waves carry you into evening.
Les Roches Rouges, a hotel facing the sea
The day begins at Les Roches Rouges with an early breakfast facing the sea. A slice or two of toast, fresh fruit and a coffee perhaps. Your mind is already elsewhere – on the road that traces the Mediterranean shore. Bound for Nice with just an overnight bag. In the calm of the morning, you can stroll along the Promenade des Anglais almost as if it were yours alone. The Old Town appears like a small village nestled within the city, with its narrow, cobbled streets, pastel-coloured houses and artisan shops. Stop here for a lunch packed with Mediterranean flavours and local produce: colourful salads, crispy socca flatbread, pan bagna on the go...
Come afternoon, the route takes you to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a hilltop village and artistic hub on the Côte d’Azur. Art galleries and artists' studios line the village, as historical heritage mingles with contemporary creations. The Maeght Foundation is a must-see, a showcase for modern art where space and light interact with the works on display.
In the late afternoon, head back down towards Nice. Just for tonight, you’ll be staying at the Hôtel du Couvent. The hotel’s 17th-century stonework, the terraces overlooking the cloister and the sudden silence all stand in stark contrast to the energy of the day. The city is right there, just behind you, but you can no longer hear it. Linger over dinner beneath the arches, in the soft glow of a Nice twilight. The cuisine mirrors the setting – local, elegant and masterfully crafted without being ostentatious.
As you travel through the Var hinterland, the sea gradually fades from view, giving way to rolling hills, olive groves and villages frozen in time.
Your first stop is Seillans. The narrow streets climbing towards the church and the ochre-coloured façades form a tableau seemingly untouched by time – a setting that enticed Max Ernst to settle here with Dorothea Tanning. The Maison Waldberg bears traces of their presence: prints, collages and decalcomania designs created here, alongside works by Dorothea Tanning and the painter Stan Appenzeller, who also made Seillans his home.
Lunch is at Castellaras, a restaurant deeply anchored in the Var terroir where regional ingredients are honoured with a delicate touch.
Your afternoon begins in Fayence, a charming village perched on a rocky promontory. Here, the view opens onto a stunning panorama stretching across the Var plain and the rising foothills of the Alps. In the narrow streets, village life follows its own rhythm: old-timers play boules in the square and shutters clap shut at siesta time.
Further inland, another destination awaits: Domaine de l’Olivette. Here, you will get to know all about olive trees, those age-old sentinels shaping landscape and tradition alike. Walk amongst the trees and learn to distinguish the different varieties; breathe in their earthy, fruity scent drifting on the warm air – this is where the hinterland reveals its full intensity.
Back at Les Roches Rouges, the pace changes once more: a moment of rest, a soothing massage, or a few laps in the pool. Enjoy an aperitif at La Chicoula to the sounds of a DJ set, a gentle energy that dances between the sea and twilight sky. Dinner at Estelo brings the day to a close: Mediterranean flavours blend with the elegance of the setting and, as the day's light fades, a nightcap at the bar makes for a perfect farewell. The Var countryside recedes, carrying away its fragrances and colours.
Experience the magic at Les Roches Rouges
The road winds its way through vineyards and olive groves to the village of Ramatuelle, which has retained its character despite the fame of its nearby beaches. A handful of art galleries open early, a café on the square with a view of the vineyards: Ramatuelle invites you to take your time, the kind of leisurely pace you allow yourself on the final morning, when you no longer have anything to prove on your journey.
The beaches of Pampelonne stretch out below. Walking along the shore, feeling the warm water on your skin, listening to the lapping of the waves and the wind rustling through the pines: this is the Riviera at its most sensuous – the very essence of the south of France.
Leaving the seaside behind, the road becomes quieter as you head towards the vineyards of Clos des Roses in Fréjus. No stay here would be complete without a wine tasting. Appreciate the richness of the terroir, sample the local grape varieties and let the beauty of the hills prolong the magic of these final days.
Ease into the evening in the comfort of the hotel: a drink facing the sea, a dip from the jetty and a dinner to bid farewell to the French Riviera. Night falls, starlit and still, reminding you of what this destination holds most precious: the feeling that every moment counts.
The next day, it’s time to leave, with memories that will endure, the taste of salt and the caress of the Mediterranean sun still on your skin, and the irresistible urge to return.
